Umbrella Stand 261 White Reviews
6 of 6 people found the following review helpful Great Stand, July 30, 2008 By This umbrella stand is great! Putting the sand in is a little hard if you have to do it by yourself (best to have a helper). I have two of them and love them. They hold an umbrella very well. I did have my umbrella fall over when we were having a big storm, but it was not up, and it was easy to right. Moving the stand is a bit hard, as you can imagine with 50lbs of sand in it, but the handle helps. I did read on one review that the screws rust, but if mine have I haven't noticed. Couldn't you just cover them with clear nail polish or better yet polyurethane? Anyways, I love this stand because your umbrella can stand anywhere without tipping over.
5 of 5 people found the following review helpful Shaded and happy, August 2, 2010 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Umbrella Stand 267 Bronze (Tools & Home Improvement) The extra long neck on this allows you to use it with out any table support. Great for extra Unbrella's between chairs or for shade during parties. I filled mine with water so I could easily empty and store.
5 of 5 people found the following review helpful Junk!, May 22, 2010 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Umbrella Stand 260 Black (Tools & Home Improvement) First, the holes in this item do not line up so we couldn't use screws to secure the pole section. Because there were open holes, we had to use duct tape to cover them so the sand wouldn't leak out. Then, within a week of use (and while the umbrella it was holding was CLOSED), the wind (on a sunny afternoon- not even storm-strength wind!) dragged this item across our patio- about 8 feet. In that 8 feet, several holes were worn in the bottom of the base before it tipped and cracked in half- so it is unable to hold sand any longer. We had a second umbrella in an older stand in the same area and that one stayed completely still. Find something else to hold your umbrella!!
