I purchased this mattress as a gift for my daughter, who was expecting a baby. She had purchased the same mattress for her first baby, because it had an impressive safety review, and therefore wanted the exact same brand when she was having another child. The mattress fits the crib corner to corner with no gaps, therefore making it less probable that a baby's arm or leg might get caught between the mattress and frame of the crib.

Forget about other firm, ultra firm, or super firm mattress, this is the firmest one I tried. I had a sealy ultra firm, after couple months, middle sinked. As soon as I opened the package, and pressed it, I know it is a good mattress. It's not too hard, it's the same feel that u saw in the hospital, that are firm, and not soft and not gonna sink, I love dream on me, I have a extra tall white gate, and it is great too, can be wall mount for stairs and stick to wall without drilling the wall. I wanted to try the 4 in 1 crib by dream on me too, but already have another by greco, I wished I bought the 4 in 1. Will update after later if I have any different feedback.

This mattress was a life saver for us. We moved when our daughter was 9 months old and she quit sleeping through the night. She refused her crib and wouldn't even nap in it. She only napped in our pillowtop bed. Out of sheer frustration we bought this mattress and our good sleeper returned in her own crib. We have only ever used the toddler side. It is soft enough to have a little squish (maybe 1/4 inch)but firm enough to support the weight of an adult (we lay on it with our daughter when she wants to cuddle before bed). Now that our son is out-growing his co-sleeper we are buying another of these wonderful mattresses to use in his crib. Our daughter has been sleeping on this mattress for almost 2 years now and she still loves it.
