Better than plastic...., March 18, 2010 By This review is from: Dream on Me Rocking Cradle (Baby Product) I bought this cradle because I didn't want my newborn to be sleeping in some plastic bassinet. The cradle was very easy to assemble, but it was missing a few screws to attach to "kickstands" so it doesn't rock, I still have not heard back from the manufacturer, but my baby hasn't been born yet so I'm not too worried yet. The cradle is also bigger than I expected, which I think is a little unnecessary since it only is good for babies up to 20 pounds. The cradle interior is 18 inches by 36 inches. It does look very nice. The bottom is also flimsier than I was hoping for, but it does have a support bar under the center of the bottom, but I'm not sure I trust it, I was hoping the bottom would be as thick as the sides (about and inch). Overall, it will serve its purpose, but its not exactly what I was expecting.

ships to APO!!!...but........, March 4, 2010 By This review is from: Dream on Me Rocking Cradle (Baby Product) I originally rated this as a 5, I had seen it in person and liked the way it looked. We received it as a gift from our registry. It came wrapped so nicely, in a large purple sack with green ribbon. We opened it and were so excited...only to find that we could not put it together because the entire hardware package was missing. I'm sure it will be a 5 once we are able to put it together!
**UPDATE**Amazon sent another cradle and it looks great! It is larger than you might expect, but I rather like that. The bottom is fiberboard, however the metal support bar keeps it secure. I am confident baby will be safe and sound.

Arrived damaged, December 27, 2011 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Dream on Me Rocking Cradle, Cherry (Baby Product) When assembling this cradle, I noticed that a corner of the Bottom board (that the mattress lies on) was damaged. Subsequently that corner fell off altogether. We ended up keeping the cradle because the mattress is still secure and it would be too much hassle to get a new one.
